In December 2016, the Collaborative met its goal of effectively ending homelessness among Veterans, as certified by the national Mayor’s Challenge to Veteran Homelessness initiative!

As of August 24th, 2017, the Collaborative met its 100-day “Sprint” goal to house 20 individuals who had been experiencing chronic (long-term) homelessness in the City of La Crosse.  This represents a 367% increase in our current monthly Housing Placement Rate (HPR) for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness! Read here about our success and how the Collaborative Continues to Connect Homeless to Agencies to Secure Housing!

On October 18th, 2017, the Collaborative set its sights on housing at least 10 Families with Children who are experiencing homelessness in our community by January 31, 2018. The Design and Leadership Teams are also hard at work at rolling out a new, robust Volunteer Program to increase natural community support for folks transitioning out of homelessness and begin building an innovative local program to combat homelessness before it starts with upstream diversion and prevention. Read all about our efforts here and don’t forget to check back on this site for updates on our progress!
